HKUST will be implementing a four year undergraduate education
from 2012. This is a significant change that will involve the
work of many people -- planning for the curriculum, courses, and
assessments, orientation, out-of-class learning experiences,
student development and hall life, implementing a program of
capital works, working out academic regulations and admissions
routines, and so on.
The University has been spearheading this exercise. More

At the Business School level, we would like to encourage
faculty and staff to offer their views on the 3-3-4
transformation. Please contribute your ideas directly to the

By Dec 1, 2006, UST has submitted an update of progress as
part of the 2008-09 Academic Development Proposal (ADP) to UGC;
a fuller presentation is expected in the 2009-12 ADP.
